Who am I? I’m Luby Lu, a thirty-something wife and stay-at-home mother of 2, a step-mother of 2 more, and a premature grandmother. I am also a sister, an aunt, a friend, and a scatterbrain. I am an over-committed, purpose-seeking, stressed-out, craft-loving, internet-addicted, God-fearing, family-devoted, injustice-fighting, exercise deficient, tuckered-out woman of the 21st century. But, most importantly, I am a daughter of the One True King. This blog is a literary outlet of my lot in life as I muddle thru the day to day, walking hand-in-hand with my Father, Friend, and Lord – Jesus Christ.
Why Blog? In a nutshell, my husband believes I have some sort of writing potential. So, after years of gentle encouragement, I figured I’d give it a whirl. However, if I’m ever going to write anything, I have to start with something. This blog is the beginning dribble of my undirected mind. I hope it proves entertaining, and maybe even beneficial, for you.
Why “LubyLu”? Yeah, I know it’s strange, yet strangely fitting as well. It’s a nickname my dear sweet husband came up with for me some years ago. A term of endearment you have to be part of our family to understand. Others have adopted it to some degree or another. I hope you’ll adopt it too.
What’s with the crazy banner? I created the banner for this site with all sorts of elements of my life. Each has some meaning and representation of who I am. Drop me a line if you’d like to know more at lubylu@att.net.

lovely wife cleta the lord blessed me with her after 47 years with my dottie who went to heaven june 7th 1998
we had three sons who we loved and cleta and i still do . steve dave and russ.
10 grand children 2 on cletas side 8 on my side 3 great grand children
i have served as elder of my church for the last 3 years .
we bought a little double wide mobile home 24×36 in a senior park and spent last winter in it . we plan on going back in nov.

I was expecting a little website with some tidbits about you, but this is professional! Why was I surprised–you are Miss Organized/Proficient in most everything you do. And you need to think again about your claim to not being able to multi-task. You have done this amazing blog in the midst of “playing” wife, mom, and grandma, running a spotless home, cooking fabulous food, volunteering at this/that church activity, being involved in your girl’s school, discipling other ladies, ministering to neighbors, etc. etc. Just looking at your calendar makes me tired.
